Construction

Proflex® is installed over a dense macadam surface with a clean stone foundation. Two layers of macadam are recommended in order to achieve better surface levels and provide a stronger court construction.

Performance

Proflex® is a medium paced surfaces with a medium ball bounce. Proflex® has a shock absorbency (with a 6mm cushion) of 17.5%. The surface has been classified by the ITF (International Tennis Federation).

Maintenance

The primary requirement is to keep the surface free of debris and environmental pollutants, to retain the appearance of the playing surface. If neglected, the surface will become slippery with greater risk of moss and algae growth.

Sweeping and pressure cleaning are used to keep the surface clean. It may be necessary to apply weed killer and / or moss killer on courts that are susceptible or have evidence of weed or moss growth.

Environmental Considerations

The materials used in these surfaces are environmentally friendly, using recycled rubber for the cushioning mat together with solvent free adhesives and water-based polymer coatings.

Proflex Acrylic Tennis Courts

Proflex® is an impervious squeegee applied acrylic playing surface offering optimum cushioning.

The system comprises a high quality 6mm* rubber mat which is bonded and coated using durable textured polymers to produce a superior cushioned tennis surface.

*Varying thicknesses of cushioning mat can be supplied on request.

As well as being extremely durable and resistant to wear, the cushioning effect will remain constant throughout seasonal temperature variations and over many years of use.

Because the cushioning mat is prefabricated to a uniform thickness, this will allow true ball bounce on all areas of the court.

Proflex® In-Situ Cushion system offers cushioning varying in thickness from 1mm to 3mm applied in liquid form and coated with the Proflex® system of wear layers and colour top coats.

Proflex Hardcourt® with an appearance as good as any other in the range, this system has no cushioning making it our most affordable acrylic surface. The hardcourt system comprises one resurfacer coat and three hard-wearing colour coats.

Proflex® PU is a site applied, cushioned tennis surface.

It remains point elastic due to the resilient nature of the prefabricated rubber mat and polyurethane wear layer and top coat.

This results in a seamless, cushioned surface with bright, intense colours that is very resilient and durable.
